Default Upper Clyde?

I am just returning to fishing after a few years away and looking for some idea's for where to do some river fishing? I am local to West Lothian so I was thinking the Upper Clyde may be the best bet when considering distance to travel against fishing quality! I did fish the Almond as a child and caught many nice trout though I find it has limitations due to water levels!

Is still good for trout, especially bits from allmondell country park down to crammond. as is avon, from tidal stretch up through linlithgow to westfield.

Yup as far as I'm aware the river Almond is producing fish! The river has suffered teribly from polution in years past though I believe it has improved though I would still class it as a dirty river! I did witness a family of otters in Almondell country park not so long ago and took this to be a sign of things improving! I have friends who fish the river for Salmon using both fly and the flying C's though I haven't witnessed any being caught!

regarding the Avon fished the Avonbridge area many moons ago and my memory fails me as to its suitability though definately worth considering!
