Haven't fished those but Haweswater itself fished pretty well June this year, better than previous visits last few years at that time, seems on the up again.....if there's any water in it now that is! (was already very low in June). You need a wind/ripple on the tarns, that much I know. Floating line, small dark traditional wets fished fairly quick (fish are always looking up, don't give them too much time to think, if lying low they shoot up and snatch it, hence the thumping takes but they often bounce straight off!). Or target rises with small dries - they're generally not too fussy (although they are spooky). Dare say other Cumbrian members can give you more specifics.
