Default Help needed in Scotland, West Coast.

I am on holiday 1st 2 weeks in Aug at Milarrochy Bay on the banks of Loch Lomond.
Can any one point me in the right direction with any fly fishing in the area, any help very much appreciated, I'm not really into trolling and much prefer dry fly fishing.
Thanks Mike

Default Blairgowrie

Hi

I was fishing the River Ericht in Blairgowrie a few weeks ago and it was brilliant. The Town waters are superb and cost very little.

You can also get onto a private stretch if you are willing to pay. Ask at Kate Flemings.

Cheers

Rob

Good luck with the midges

By all accounts, Lomond isn't the best trout loch in the world... Sea Trouting is another matter... bit of learning curve though.

Plenty of other options in the area though. Get yerself a copy of Bruce Sandisons 'Trout Lochs of Scotland', or an O.S. map of the area....and a lot of Googling etc

Blair is about 1 hour away if not more.
Do you want to travel or are you wanting to fish local?

You have some great lochs near by.

Loch Katrine is not far.

The river Endrick runs in to Lomond
Loch Lomond Angling Improvement Association

The river Leven runs out of Lomond but it is combat fishing.

Good luck

Munro

Travelling is not a problem, but I would prefer small brook or river fishing where I can fish the dry fly for wild brownies etc.but any fishing is better than nowt!
