Default Chinese imported reel 4/9 wt

Has anyone came across these Chinese imported reels that take both a 4/6 + 7/9 spool? I see spomeone is selling one on Ebay under the name Game Fisher I don't know if they are on here or not it's a family run business?

I like the look of the reel it's not too unsimilar to the Wychwood Ionica or the Snowbee Geo appears very light weight! A pair of these would be pretty handy if they performed well matching each of my two rods!

I have used Gamefisher before for wheatley style dry fly boxes which were decent and the service was fine.

Thumbs up Bloo dy well about time.

"Introducing a new concept in trout fly reels

The Ascent has the advantage of interchangeable large arbor or hi-capacity spools. One reel and a series of spools provides previously unimaginable flexibility. This reel has the large arbor spool ideal for 5 and 6 weight lines. The hi-capacity spool will accommodate 7 and 8 weight lines."

Cool idea, but I can easily guess why this may be 'a first.'

Hmmm, not really a "first" considering the specs of the Cortland Endurance....Fully agree that it sounds dubious however

My brother in law visits China about 3/4 times a year on business. Last year he was at a massive trade show and there was a fishing section, he doesn't fish but got a few contacts for me. I got in touch saying I was interested in importing some of the gear and needed a selection of samples. I got 10 of these reels as well as fly rods, casting reels, multipliers, fly line and so on. The fly reels worked out at 26euro each and are excellent, only prob was one of them has a slight rattle in it when wet. Got a top class salmon rod for 32euro and the multipliers were 11 each. I see he is selling them for 70euroish, not bad as he rpobably had to pay shipping and duty, I got my stuff in on brother in laws container. I also got a 15hp 4-stroke outboard for 800euro.
