Tom was already providing free fly fishing courses for veterans sent to him by the RBL and Combat Stress and Tony’s companies was already donating significant amounts of money to veteran’s welfare charities.

It seems that this charity is the same as Combat Stress in that not a lot of people know about it and doesn't have enough exposure. Nothing against "Help for Heroes" (which has only been going a few years) but as this is a new and exciting charity to help veterans, it has overshadowed Combat Stress which has been helping veterans since !919 (I think).
Ask anyone while your out fishing or just out in the street who has heard of Combat Stress and who has heard of Help for Heroes and I bet most have never heard of Combat Stress but heard of Help for Heroes.
Now I'm betting the same can be said for Fishing for Heroes, mainly because I have been receiving treatment from Combat Stress for so long and never heard of it. I live too far away to be able to have the benefit of Fishing for Heroes now but it's a great idea and it needs more exposure. There are so many resources out there for veterans but are mainly unheard of and if veterans only knew about them sooner there would be less veterans taking their own lives (a very sad fact but one of the main problems with suffering from PTSD)
As some of you may be aware I go to another chairty for veterans called Gardening Leave which has a fishing club, so I will be speaking to Anna who set it up to see if she can maybe work together with the boys at Fishing for Heroes in the hope that they might be able to set up other venues for us in Scotland.
Sorry for rambling
