Default Paisley

Will find myself staying in Paisley for a few days in July. I know there are a few rivers close by and was wondering if anyone could suggest somewhere that would be easy enough to find for somebody who doesn't know the area. Also any info on where to get permits etc would be great if there's any locals on here.

Cheers

Rivers will be very very low unless we get rain.
Why not try Harelaw, Alex Cairnie on here will keep you right.

The river Gryffe is an obvious one but will be very low....Bridge of Weir stretch is the best.

Loch wise definitely try Harelaw (Neilson)...a great boat venue and feels like a highland loch but with cracking bows.

For smaller waters I really rate Howwood (Howwood Village) and Lawfield (Kilmacolm).

If you are driving you are only an hours drive in any direction to loads of fishing, rivers and lochs!

Have a browse here for ideas/contacts/permits. You wont need a rod licence, but you will need permit to fish.

Hi Hope when you get here the rains will have started so you will get some decent fishing in. If you go onto the website for the paisley abercorn angling club link below this will take you to our facebook site and this will give you all the info that you require ie where to fish and how to purchase permits which you will require.

www.paisleyabercornanglingclub.co.nr

Have a great time when you are over here.

Sandy

Thanks very much for the help, much appreciated. I know we're expecting big rain here overnight and tomorrow so hopefully Scotland will get some in next couple of weeks.
