Default Mayfly at swinsty & fewston

Hi all

Can anybody tell me what the mayfly hatches have be like at the washburn valley ressies this year. Not been up for a few years but can remember they used to start the second week in June and last a couple of weeks so hoping to catch the back end of the hatch this week.

Cheers

Mat

Hi

I was on both Swinsty and Fewstons a couple of weeks ago. The Mayfly were in the air and hatching in one and two's but there was not sufficient numbers for the trout to be really interested. There are still May fly around with it being such a later start to the season following the cold winter. Hope you get some Mayfly sport if you deciede to wet a line.

They always seem to be later than other places up there, fingers crossed for some good dry fly action
