Hardy Greys shop at the Alnwick HQ good for bargains
I was up in the North east last week, where I took the opportunity to visit the above (and the Hardy museum, which is attached - and BTW free). Not surprisingly the shop was full of lovely toys and clothing, but there were some real bargains lurking in corners. End of range tackle lines and clothing, unpopular sized clothing, rods with cases missing etc. Don't ask me what prices were, but there was a sign indicating that, say, Zane saltwater flines had at some point been reduced a tenner.
Seems they don't advertise this stuff, so the only way to get it is to drop in. So if you're heading north on the east side of England this Summer and have a penchant for bargains it could be worth dropping in. Museum's good, too.
