Default midge hatch

Hi all

What is the best fly for when midge's are hatching. To day the water went flat cam and midges started to hatch and the fish started to rise. What fly would you use in these conditions.

Some years back whilst fishing some wee lochs around Ullapool, it went mirror calm and out came the midges;the brownies were going nuts for them. I put on a size 8 muddler, stripped it across the top and hit one every other cast!

[/COLOR]i like to use a cdc emerger buzzer cast and left every 10 seconds or so,or a black pennell seems to work for me when midges are hatching pulled back slow and steady or figure of eight.
