Default Time to end the slaughter ?

I'm not against stocking stillwaters with the purpose of earing a crust from fishing. I'm however disgusted by the wholesale slaughter of fish that characterises competition fly fishing. Where exactly is the achievement in catching freshly stock mutant genetically retarded eating machines that have had their instinct bred out of them ? A recent copy of that well known advertising catalogue TROUTFISHERMAN had a DVD with it which starred that well known fly fishing genius Matt thingybob. Along side Matty was a world champion something or other. Anyway The world champion expert chappy points into his fly box to a hares ear nymph and syas '.....this is a good fly 'cos it looks like the fishs food a pellet.' ( well something along that lines I binned the DVD and made a mental note never to buy anything Airflo) So thats what passes for fly fishing, tying flies to look like pellets.

What made me laugh about the dvd was with all the airflo clobber those guys were hauling around towards the end, they looked like a couple of carp anglers ready for a few day's fishing at Redmire...

Or Rontraversial's rag-head brother? A phrase he's only gone and posted a couple of times this last week.

It's no different than going out and lasooing yer own pig to get sausages.
Could be fun to some, or bother to those who prefer to buy them off the shelf.

Troll meat's nice too I hear.
