does anyone know where you can fish on the don where it doesnt cost you £130 a day like it says on internet.Many thanks

Hello,unless things have changed since last year Oughtibridge has free fishing,park next to the bridge, walk downstream for half an hour then fish all the way back up to the bridge,should provide a good session. If things have changed since last year then one of the Sheffield crew should be able to put us right.

Come along to a SPRITE social and/or pull some Himalayan Balsam or trash pick on one of the working parties and you can fish it for free (often with a guide).

Hi, For £30 a year you could join these... Tin Mill Angling Club
They have 1.5 miles of the river Don also you could have a go at course fishing or fly fish for Carp on one of there two ponds

Why not have a day with us on the Don.the fishing is for free. But S.P.R.I.T.E asks for a donation.The money goes back into the group for environmental work,educational work and the coaching of the local kids.If you are new to fly fishing,we have biginners days (over18s) for £30.00.That includes tackle and a packed lunch.
