Just a quick update:-

Fished a private strecth of the River Coln today with a young gentleman who returned form Afganistan in 2009.

he has been diaganoised with PTSD; a contributing fax was his 6 month's tour.

i am 25 and come from a miltary background, but what shocked me was the fact that the young lad i fished with today was only 19. it was shocked to me that this young lad had suffered so much and yet not truely lived.

i can honestly say it was a fantastic days fishing, plenty of fish had czech nymphing and had an hour where fish were taking confidently on small klinks and sedge.

got another young lad next week, what has surpised me, is that it now seems to be more young lads suffering PTSD and other physical and emotional conditions.

i would just like to thank every one who has sent PM's regarding donations.

if anyone has any equipment i would be very grateful. after getting my car broken into last week, i had to just about managed to cobble enough equipment for todays fishing trip.

i will keep posting updates on here as regular as possible.

Here Here Halliford Mere is also supporting these guys, i posted on the otherside about this but got "no"replies something so simple can make a big difference to these warriors, i suffered ptsd when a young lad and it truly buggered up my life, i turned into an alcholic, lost my home ,well the story goes on , lets say i wouldnt be in the condition im in if i had the support these guys need. it dosnt matter how tough you are it will get yer, and its not just war that causes itit is a truely horrible place to be, but can be curedGaz
