Default Best bungs?

I've been using slip on bungs the ones you put on your line then fix on with a bit of rubber. But I've had a lot of them coming off, are there any better alternatives anyone can recommend?

thanks

Fish Pimp style with a short length of ear bud tube super-glued into the slot and then slip your line through and pegged on with a short piece of cocktail stick.

Nah I think you're mistaken, they're for coarse fishing.

Ok I apologise for my mistake.
There is a fair amount of crossover between the 2 disciplines though.

ESOX ,............

i dont use the type your on about ,i use "loon bio strike" completely re-usable, Loon Outdoors ~ Environmentally Friendly Fly Fishing Gear&Accessories

you can put on or take off as much as you want at anytime to suit the "conditions" ,the way i use it is to tie a sliding stop knot on your leader and leave the tags around an eigth to quarter inch long , mould the putty around the knot and it will easily slide up or down to suit depths etc ,i usually shape it to a thin rugby ball shape ,when moulded around the knot it wont come off unlike when you use it without a knot as the leader eventually cuts through it ,when your finished pull it off and replace in the tub ,its damn good stuff ....try it

take no notice of the sticks in the mud about bungs etc its been dark for ages where they are

no mistake steve ,just the usual drivel from them that dont approve , as for crossover there is plenty of it around even hair rigging flies onto the back of another hook ....................... oh sorry my mistake its called the "duo" isnt it
