I fished loch watten 2 weeks ago, if that is recent enough? It was windy but fished well. There were 4 of us in 2 boats and we managed to catch 26 trout between us in a day session. Successful flies were Golden Bumble,Claret sedgehog, Black Pennel and Clan Chief. Although it was windy, it did calm at spells throughout the day so don't be deterred. Unfortunately the wind in Caithness is something we have to put up with and is completely unpredictable. We fished toftengall the previous day and it was even better Tight Lines!!

Cheers bud,

Went up and fished last Sat and the weather was awful, windy as hell and it never let up at all, we started at 6 am and called it off at 1 ish!!!

Out the 3 boats 1 caught and it was a suspected suicide

Still the water is gin clear and can't wait to give it another go, although when we are up you can sure the weather will be storms etc.

Must say the boats are in tip top condition, superb!
