Dont know about the three, but had a western, very late nineties, very soft/slow action ideal for rolling out flies, or sending out big open loops, or for casting stroke which is not the "punch" style.
As for orvis guarantees and service, second to none!

Superb blank, good fittings, poor cork, customer services second to none.

The Pirate.

I've got the 9 1/2 ft #7 for fishing off the bank and really like it.

Nice rod. Good value.

Thumbs up Western3

Well worth having, blank brilliant, agree with the Pirate about the cork. However if the cork fails send the rod back. Orvis will replace it. They did with mine and the new cork seems much improved.
I use this rod for my competition fishing.
