Getting caravan ready for a few weeks in dorset is it worth taking the fly rod ? are there any still waters around poole/ bournmouth or are there mostly rivers in the area..

Wessex looks like the closest with Sutton Bingham and Flowers Farm. The last has a good reputation but I have not fished in Dorset.

Try Rockbourne it used to be an excellent fishery but its been quite a few years since I've been down there. The water is crystal clear. It also used to have a little chalk stream running through it with rainbows in it.
