Default casting for Heroes

Currently many of these veterans are being missed by the mainline services and although they may have no physical or visible disability they are suffering.

Some of them are quite severely incapacitated. At this present moment in time it takes on average 14 years for a veteran suffering from a mental or emotional problem to receive the necessary help they require.

i will be looking a raising money so i will be looking for ideas. everyones help would be much appreciated.

Kind Regards
rivercoln

Thumbs up what do you need and what do you want?

Hi, Firstly, what a worthy cause!!! I don't know why some one hasn't done this before. Are you after money or kit or both? There are a lot of serving and ex-serving members out there. They'll all know soneone who has gear or who can get gear.

Money is more difficult but not impossible. I'll PM you with some web details for some people and other info.

Best regards and all the very best

Hi,

I have never served in the armed forces but have family members that have. One in particular suffered considerably after the first Gulf war and did not get the support he needed after the end of the conflict.

I am not the world best flytyer but I am more than willing to donate some flies.

Let me know what you think you need. Patterns, sizes, quantities etc. and I will see what I can supply.

Please keep us updated with your progress.

Thumbs up Casting for Heroes

I'm ex forces, served in the Falklands and finished after the first Gulf War. I find my fly fishing very theraputic and will help if I can.
As a point of note, I will be at Rutland with the Scottish Disabled team for the Disabled Home International.

Well done on an excellent enterprise,

Dave.
