Default WE Gripe About Customer Service....Read This...

I own dozens of top name rods, but this particular piece of customer service took my breath away....
Had an Orvis Silver LABEL TLS, tip flex 9.5,(circa 1999) my youngest broke it whilst out stockie bashing, cleanly removing 2" off tip.
Enquired on web site as to possibillity of having it fixed, was asked to send it to them for appraisal.
Posted said rod last Monday, today a brank spanking new TLS Power Matrix 9.5Tip Flex arrived, with apologetic letter stating parts were no longer available for my old rod.
The fact that new rod is 4 pce instead of 2 pce, only made me happier!!
cost?
just the postage £10.50
Now as a few of you out there may know, orvis aint my first choice, however having paid the "postage and handling charges" imposed under other manufacturers so called lifetime, or 25 year guarantees, my view is becoming slightly more "coloured" shall we say.
Orvis well done.
Customer service second to none
regards
bert
