You could add a heavy duty swivel to it. Don't know, it should work though. Whats casusing the problem. Never something I have encountered if it is constructed properly.

I had the same problem with my para drogue. I take it the original cord/ropes are still attatched. I found the original cord to be to thin so i switched them to a heavy duty 10mm thick rope and i have no such problems any more
Hope this helps

If your drogue is not collapsing fully this is probably because your 2 mounting points are not at least a drogue's width apart.

If your drogue mounting points are closer together than the width of the drogue then it will not fully collapse, catch the water as you're motoring and spin.

Hope this helps,

Graham

I've had two Wychwood drogues in the last 10 years, I bought a new one last month, opening it out I was disappointed with the quality, the ropes are thinner and the swivel was laughable. I replaced it with a larger stainless steel swivel.

Haven't tried it yet but might replace the ropes with thicker ones as suggested above.
