Guys,
I have a friend who is going on a fishing trip to Canada in a few weeks.
He is looking to buy a lead core line.I think rio do these and are about 30 feet long.Does anyone know the best place to get these?

You might try Steve Parton but I'm not sure he would have anything less than the equivalent of a 10wt shooting head.

Alternatively, you could try and get hold of Jim Teeney's lines - he does a range of 'Chuck and Duck'! lines that might fill the bill -

The lead core line will certainly get down, but it can snap easily and be difficult to join - it will also slice off your ear with a badly timed cast

I would stick with the T 14 line, made by Rio and although not readily available in the uk, you should be able to get some from sagefly on this forum.

IMHO a better option, but I'm sure there are some who would disagree

Geordie, thanks for that, unfortunately due to complaints by some trade members I have stopped doing T-14 for sale.

I have about 300ft of T-11 left and once that is gone its gone, its a shame that the trade members who complained don't actually stock T-14. Ironic is what I call it politely!

T-11 60p per foot.
