Default Loops!

I have a welded loop on the end of my fly line and I hate it, wondering if it's ok to cut it off and add my own loop? or should I do something before doing that?

thanks in advance

Default braided loop

if you dont like it cut it off and put your own on, a lot of people dont like factory fitted loops for various reasons, i use roman moser minicon loops, i have tried others but find these the best by a country mile, small, neat and strong, regards keith

Yep, I have some braided loops. Was just wondering if it's ok to change them. Gonna do it now!

Romans are very good, unless it is a clear tip line, then they can come off.
What about needle knotting a 25lb length of nylon onto line with surgeons loop on end, can help with turnover, and also acts as first part of normal tapered leader set up.

Not if you whip them on.
