Default re arming a life jacket

well yesterday went from bad to worse, lost one fish from the boat, battery gave up,started to row going nowhere had to get towed back, when then my life jacket went off,
so any idea wher i can get it re armed or can i do it myself,is it a case of just screwing the canister co2 back in.

You can easily fit a new cylinder yourself but take care that the "spike" is fully withdrawn or it will puncture the new cylinder. If self inflatable you will need a new rearming device. What make is your lifejacket?

On the same subject- I bought my life jacket about 3 years ago.
How do I know it still works?

Blow it up and leave it overnight, if it deflates you have problems.

Check the expiry date on the cylinder and self inflater.

Had a quick look-the only date I can see is when it was made 07.
Can I get the cylinder tested?
How do you check these things to make sure they will inflate in a emegency?
