Both brilliant reservoirs stocked very well with very hard fighting trout.
Most anglers generally tend to stick near the dam walls on both (no casting on dam walls) though great to fish any where you can cast a fly
Dries and nymphs work, as do lures...
Avoid like the plague the days when they kayak down from Thruscross to Fewston, letting God knows how many gallons of fresh cold water into Fewston (and usually eventually Swinsty if overflow, er, flowing)

List of kayak dates in fishing office at end of Fewston dam wall. That's also where you pay.
£18 ish for day ticket, 4 fish or C & R. Summot like £14 ish for evening ticket from 4pm.
