Default Scientific measurement of suppleness?

Does anyone know how to scientifically measure suppleness? Or if this is even possible? It'd be handy to know the suppleness of various tippet materials for dry fly fishing.

A simple test to tie two different brands together (blood knot) and holding both ends from the centre knot a fixed distance try and push both together.
The softer one will show by collapsing first.

The hardest mono is Masons or in the UK Tynex followed by Maxima.
On the softest Velvet used to be the softest but Orvis super strong is also very soft.
To be honest I don’t think there is a lot of difference with the soft nylons.
Even Bayer Perlon is considered soft.

Hope thats of some use mate
