Default Remedies for motion

Is there anyone who knows of a remedy to stop the swaying and dizziness that happens after spending the day fishing on a boat.
I find it hard to drive stand or even walk to the bar but seriously if anyone has any remedies please let me know.

My mates and I call this effect "ripple vision" .....thogh for me,it takes about three consecutive days on the water in windy conditions before it kicks in. I have to stare at a carpet for a minute or so before I notice it.....the carpet starts undulating in a wave like motion.
Sounds like you are more prone to it if it is affecting your balance. I would guess it may be an inner ear thing.
Dont know of any remedies.....sorry,best of luck with it though Andrew,I could see it being quite an unpleasant phenomenon if it affects you that much.

Default Bad news is it may really get worse as you get 'older.'

Sounds like an 'inner-ear' issue from what little you've posted. With a bit of a vision problem one just magnifies the other. Try standing on one foot (no kidding) with your hands at your sides. (Yes, it's the same procedure a cop will run you through if he thinks you may be ... how shall we say? ... under the weather.) A second 'test' is the walking a straight line 'heel to toe.'

If you have a problem with either it's probably a combination of both (inner ear/vision).

The thing is there were another three on the boat, they were all effected in the same way, one worse than all of us.
