Well you are not far from Driffield so you could (if you don't mind the cost) have a day a Mulberry-Whin.

See here: Mulberry Whin - Chalkstream fishing chalkstream flyfishing

This is one of the best stretches of chalk stream in the UK!

Try Wansford Trout Lake Driffield, stream fed and cheap sporting tickets or Starr Carr Trout Fishery near Brandsburton. Theres also Wykeham Lakes near Scarborough.

Default Wansford and Star Carr

Wansford, great intimate little "U" shaped pond, "wily" trout though but can be caught. Entry is from the main Frodingham to Driffield road just outside Wansford, park in the car park, there is a fishing hut with honesty box and catch book.

Starr Carr, on the A165 between Leven and Brandesburton elongated mature gravel pit, well stocked with rainbows, golden, brownies and char, (have also had some nice roach on the fly) some big fish, plenty of "stockies" lots of dry fly action, plenty of bank fishing and boats with electric motors. All very reasonable and a well stocked shop.
