A day on the Itchen - advice

Hi,
Have a day's fishing on the Itchen & Meon with my dad coming up and wanted a bit of advice. I've been fishing mainly stillwaters for the past couple of years (Blenheim,Syon Park, Coltsford Mill and Arlington) all on wets/nymphs/lures and was looking for a bit of advice on dry fly. Any tips, do's and don'ts or general advice much appreciated.
