As above, need a bit of help regarding dry flies. I've not done a lot of df fishing and am sorting my flies. I seem to have quite a few small upright winged things. Adams, greenwells, tups you know small uns. I've never tried them to be honest but now want to on the river.
The river in question is the Colne at Fairford. It is not very wide for the most part about 6-8 metres I'd guess. There seems to be an abundance of fly life.
I have a couple of 7'-8' rods and a dt3 line to suit. What strength leader would be right and how long?
I was thinking around 2lb straight through. I have a furled leader on the end which is 4' long. Obviously will not cast far because I would not be able to see the fly!
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
