A couple of weeks ago I was reading a thread on here about how bad a
service they were getting from this company.
At that time I was waiting for an order to be delivered and after reading
all your posts I got worried.
When I placed the order I didn't expect next day delivery.
Although it said that the article was stock I know that it may not be the
case and they would have to get it delivered from their supplier.
A couple of weeks had past so I thought that I would send them an
e-mail.
Within 1 hour they replied and assured me that the goods would be with
them within a couple of days.
Two days past,they replied saying the item had now been sent to me.
I received it the following day.
So this prompts me to say.
A company that gives me a bad service, I say nothing and don't use
them again.
A company that gives me a good service I give them praise.
So I am going to congratulate Atkins Angling for their excellent service
and quick response.
Its not easy to please everyone all of the time.
You have one satisfied customer.

I have been waiting for simms G4 Boots for over a month. Atkins brame Simms for poor delivery service.
I have complained to Simms. Still waiting for a response.

Two weeks no communication from them and you have to email...good service-not.

Ive been waiting for a snowbee fly wallet since February. every time I contact them I'm told its out of stock. i did speak to Russell Weston the MD of snowbee and he says he demand for that product is high and they are having problems keeping up. At the same time i think Atkins should not accept an order or payment for something they don't have.

I didn't think that a couple of weeks wait for a none essential item was too
bad.(is it?)
The posts on the previous thread about how bad the company was
prompted me to e-mail them.
I got an instant response with assurance that the goods would be with me
soon.( I was happy with that)
I then got another e-mail saying that the order had been delivered.
( very nice of them to keep me informed)
Received the goods the following day.( happy customer)
Just wanted to say something positive about the company.
Or am I too easily pleased?

No, you are rightly pleased.

Issues arise when a company advertises items for sale that they don't have in stock and have no influence over when that stock will be available.

You struck lucky. Whether, in your opinion an item is 'non essential' is neither here not there ... if goods are advertised for sale there should be a reasonable expectation that they are available for delivery. Unfortunately, Atkins are developing a reputation for debiting customer's cards when they don't have items in stock and an equal reputation for trying to ignore the situation when pursued by customers for a resolution date.

Not a recipe for long term success I'd suggest.
