Default Evening Fishing in Aberdeen

Looking for a bit of advice please guys. I'm wondering if there any decent places I can go and fish in the evening around Aberdeen. I work in the Bridge of Don and when I finish work at 6 sometimes I feel like I want to go and cast a wee fly. When I stayed in Perth and worked in Dundee this was quite easy and there was an abundance of places but I'm fairly new to the area up here and not familiar with it. Does anybody have any recommendations? Remember that I'll be in the evening after work so I'd rather not travel for miles and the traffic getting out of Aberdeen at 6pm is horrendous

James

Go on to the Aberdeen angling club web site they have water on the Don and a loch just outside Aberdeen. Banchory is not that far there is Remoire or Midmar.
There is the town water at Kintore and Inverurie and Lochter is not that far.

Have a look at Fishing The Fly In Aberdeenshire, Scotland, most local waters are listed there. Corby Loch is the closest Loch to bod, nice place if a bit hard going most of the time.

The trout fishing on the Don is second to none, used to fish the stretches close to Aberdeen as a student, good sport, would love to have that opportunity again!
