Default THE FISHERMAN'S PRAYER

God grant that I may live to fish until my dying day

And when it comes to my last catch I then most humbly pray

When in the Lord's safe landing net I'm peacefully asleep

That in his mercy I be judged as good enough to keep

I liked this

I second those sentiments. For the uninitiated - the version I know:

God grant that I may catch a fish,
So large that even I,
When telling of it afterwards
May never need to lie.

Being a practicing Christian believer; and having faith in Gods Grace!

I must say I liked both versions of the prayer!

Thanks, Hugh and Brit.

Very nice. Who's the man that does the mugs? I'd love a mug with that 1st prayer on it.

God moves in mysterious ways. Heres what I think might look good on the mug, tell me what you think if you have any alternative ideas, (think the sign should say catch and release only and not catch and return but soon put that right) before I go and print a few hundred of the things. If you think its worth doing a mug of this I'll get it put on the website.

cheers
