Default Gryffe Reservoir (Inverclyde)

Alright guys, This is my first post on here sorry if its in the wrong place.

I was just wondering is any of you guys had fished the Gryffe reservoir and how you got on. I'm new to fly fishing and the Gryffe is cheap enough so me and my mate decided to give it a go last night, we only caught one very small brownie but there was a lot of surface movement.

We met a guy who said its only £35 to fish it for the whole season so thats a good price if the fishing is any good. The guy said it was well stocked and he had had some great times fishing it. So I was just wondering if any of you guys had fished it with any success and if so what flys, tactics etc did you use.

As I said I'm new to fly fishing so any advice or tips would be apreciated.

Cheers in advance.

Fished it twice last year never got anything does look a nice loch. Where about you from? Greenock club is £30 first year then £25 the next years. You get Loch Thom and all the other reservoirs about there.
