Most waters have a club associated with them. Join that, fish their comps and learn.

It's a great way to improve your fishing.

where do you mainly fish? Resevoir or Stillwater? Boat or Bank?

Most of the resevoirs have clubs assosiated with them and that is a good place to start.

If you fancy a crack at one of the "Big Comps" I'd suggest you enter one of the Lexus Individual heats which are fairly friendly and you can qualify for the final, and mix it up with the big boys, by catching just one fish as there is a wildcard qualification for the biggest fish in each heat.
