Default River Balgy and Loch Damph

Have booked a week in June in Ross-shire. Should be happy with the river using my 9' 5# set up but what would you recommend for the loch in terms of lines and flies? I have not done any loch fishing before.

balgy and loch damph - Google Maps

It is meant to be beautiful up there, has anyone been and caught fish?

We will also have a boat for use on Loch Torridon.

Advice/suggestions welcomed.

Your 9ft 5 weight will be fine for the loch. A team of pulled traditionals is the classic way to fish for loch trout and will no doubt be productive but don't be frightend of tring out dries.

And use a strong leader, there's monster trout in Damph. A 20 pounder was caught last year.
Loch Torridon is a sea loch.
