Default Jinx fly-what's yours?

As above, what is your "jinx" fly. You know the one, the one everyone catches with-except you.

Mine has to be a green nymph. Yes I know it is probably the most sucessful nymph ever, but not for me. Quite frankly, I may as well put my sock on the end! Seems every old codger (I'm one too) I meet with a bag full says "Green nymph mate" ugh!

On the river my super jinx is the Silver Invicta, another fly of doom.

So c'mon what's yours?

PTN. I have been fishing for 33 years, and i have never had a fish on a PTN. i've tried them, and still do, but to date, even when i'm fishing with a team of PTNs and a diawl bach, it'll always be the diiawl that takes the fish.

I remember stalking a big brown trout at Chalk springs, couldn't get him to so much as look at my fly. eventually i gave up and offered assistance to a young chap enjoying his first ever day's flyfishing. You guessed it, first cast wiht a PTN and he had the brown on!!! Big fish of about 14lb but alas, his father stabbed at it with the net, causing it to bolt. the little chap didn't know not to hang on and ping went his line.

Peter Bloody Ross!!

Most useless fly ever devised, followed by the Walker's Killer, a famous fly in South Africa which has got nothing to do with Dick Walker!

It's flies using CDC for me. Got no faith in the stuff at all. I am sure this is a JohnH problem and not an F-fly or Shuttlecock Buzzer problem....

The Cormorant for me, or any of it's many variants.

I just cannot catch on it.
