Default Near Llandrindod Wells?????

Monday I'm going to be around Llandrindod Wells, with a fair amount of free time on my hands.

Anyone able to recommend - either a reasonably priced river beat - or - a stillwater - nearby...

Quite a variety of suggestions

www.severn-arms.co.uk has 5 miles of the Ithon upstream
Fishing at River Ithon-Llandrindod Wells, Llandrindod Wells, Powys, fishing, coarse fishing, game fishing has some day ticket water

River Ithon, Llandrindod Wells, Powys, LD1 6DY
01597823539

Fishing is situated near Llandrindod Wells on the River Ithon. Public fishing available. Please note, there are bait restrictions and bag limits imposed. Match bookings are also available.
Permits can be obtained from :- Wayfarers, Ddole Road, Llandrindod Wells (tel 01597 825100) Tourist Information Centre, Old Town Hall, Temple Street, Llandrindod Wells (tel 01597 822600) Disserth Caravan and Camping Site (01597 860277).
The Elan system is a variegated beastie - a delight in some respects but badly spoiled by the Dwr Cymru "Just Say No" policy.

A bit out of Llandod towards Rhayader I know, but if I was in your shoes I'd go and fish Llyn Gwyn. Superb location and the fish fight really hard. This place really is a gem.
