Default Perch fishing in the Fife or Edinburgh area ?
Apologies first if I've posted this in the wrong section.
I'm getting my wee boy into fishing and wondered if there were any decent places around Fife/Edinburgh for Perch.
This was how I got hooked before learning to cast a fly rod.

Used to be plenty of them in the Union Canal but I dont know about now.
Last time I fished it was at Linlithgow-that was 30+years ago.
Still a lot of pike and I suppose they would take the fly.

There used to be a lot of perch in Lochgelly Loch!

Cheers guys.
I had thought of Loch Gelly as it's just along the road from me but it looks pretty shallow round the banks.
Are there any deeper spots on it that might be worth a bash ?
