Any of the gink style floatants, john.
they all work as well as each other.
I would steer clear of the aerosol style though, to much goes everywhere and therefore too much wasted!
rub on, or dip in, ginks are my prefered choice.

I like Dilly wax for parachute posts etc and I am also partial to a little 'Frog's Fanny'

CDC is best left natural... although I do use Petitjean CDC Oil and an amadou pad to liven things up when a fly gets a real soaking and sliming.

Loons Aquel is as good as any as a general floatant. Watershed too but is a pretreatment. For CDC, Frogs Fanny, an American product is fine.
There are many around & everyone has his own preferences. Gink has been around for eons & many use it.

I am with Highlander, Loons Aquel has been keeping it up for me all last season.
