Default which line for lures and dries

hi im new to fly fishing im confused over which line to use for lures and dries ive flurocarbon and sub surface which would you use for these different situations thanks garry

I use Flurocarbon for both lures and for dries. dont realy see the differance in changeing the leadder cheers Paul

I use Maxima for everything. I've tried all the fancy stuff and think they're a waste of time... and money

I'm with Paul on this one, I use flurocarbon for all my fishing. I don't go for all this "don't use flurocarbon with dries cos it pulls the flies down" nonsense, whatever flurocarbon i've ever used it always floats and needs as much degreasing as normal nylon. The good thing with flurocarbon though is the diameter, you can use a relativley strong leader on your small dries without it spooking the fish.

i found i was fishing a hawthorn the other day and kinking it up,using fluro and found the fluro was taking the fly down after 3 or 4 casts,but i was using 3 different lbage 10,8,6 as my leader
