Go for it Nigel, and have one for me.
Things can only get better.

At least I'm not the only one who isn't having much success (no sadism intended!). I spent five hours on the Rothay earlier on, tore my waders at the crotch and was rewarded with absolute zilch...

Roll on summer...

Sometimes you're the pigeon, sometimes you're the statue.

The great thing about fishing, IMO, is that you just never know what's going to happen. No amount of analysis, prognosticating, armchair theorizing, book-reading, or net surfing will ever replace actually getting out there.

Some of my most memorable days fishing have been when I thought the odds were stacked against me. And, to be honest, some of my greatest flops have been on days when I was convinced all the stars were aligned and the biggest problem was going to be how to land them as quickly as possible.

If you don't go, you'll never know.

Grouse
