Default Fly Fishing Mentor

Hi All,
I am new to this game as I have only fished in the salty stuff. Now live in the center of the universe in Leicestershire! So I have started to learn how to fly fish! Can chuck a line a reasonable distance, have a couple of rods and a reel or two but I lack the knowlege and confidence to start fishing. Need someone to say "try this or that" and show me the ropes. Pretty mobile so can fish almost anywhere in the E Midlands.
Anyone have the time and patience?
Cheers
Paul

This could be the best £60 you ever spend:

Malcolm March of Rutland Fly Fishing

I did one of the AW courses, gives you a good grounding, cheap fishing on AW waters for the first year, then a reduced price season ticket for your 2nd year, if you want it and I think you get 10% off in the lodge.

Hi, Paul,
You might consider spending a couple of quid with a good coach. They would set you up in the right direction with technique and knowledge which would enable you to gain further experience with 'volunteer' mentors.
Angling Development Board Registered Coaches can be found on their web page under the 'Find a Coach' Tab.

Hope all goes well.
