LOGANLEA RESERVOIR - FANTASTIC
Our club had a visit to Loganlea Reservoir (near Penicuik) on Saturday 1st May 2010, and for some of our anglers it was a first visit.
We took 9 boats out on the water.
I personally have fished here since November 2002 from both bank and boat , but this outing surpassed all visits.
The quality of fish here is outstanding averaging about 3lbs with double figure featuring occasionally.
There is 12 boats available and electric outboards are permitted.Within the Portocabin there are FREE tea and Coffee and biscuits and you can also purchase quality flys.
Anyway back to the fishing,it was quite cold and had a light breeze but that didnt keep the fish off the feed, out of 18 anglers all but one had there limit of 4 fish, then numerous were released.
We had some of the young anglers in attendance and they also had a fantastic time.
The fishery is run by Alex Jack and his lovely wife and they are always pleasant and on hand to give advice.
Anglers!! dont waste hard earned money on a dug out hole stocked with poor quality fish take a trip to Loganlea.
