Talking Bad day ....... good day

Today I had a day of freedom. After missing out on three weeks of delightful weather I was really looking forward to it.

Then I woke up ......... wind rain rain rain and more rain. I made the trip to the river did a sad hour and watched it rise before my eyes. Tramped back to the car damp and moody.

On the way back I get a pint at the Half Way house in Horsmonden, pint of Half Way to Paradise, straight from the barrell. Eventually I get home, perch myself in front of the TV.

Fly tying equipment sprayed all over the coffee table, a bottle of claret and the HD Sprts Display terminal is once again back to it's proper primary usage (rather than a Disney and Hallmark portal). Now I am starting to feel happier. I have already watched an Oliver Edwards DVD.....without any one moaning!

A few flies tied, an empty bottle of claret and I am now really happy. Now my whisky collection is not something I am allowed to hit with the kids around ...... but now I have a LARGE Laphroaig beside me and I will start another Klink' in a second.

Oh and the world cup is on TV ............. fly fishing a world of entertainment!

A few photos of the flies produced today, might be interesting Carl.
A pint, a bottle of claret and now large TCP's, the mind boggles.
As long as your happy.

Ha, learnt that mistake a few times as a student. I forgot to mention, took a small hen pheasant out of the freezer and threw it in the oven with some veg ...... came back 40mins later. Dinner done.

Got to be up early though to pick the family up. Must remember to re-order my mind and it's preferences.

Sounds like an excellent day Carlos, and not a million miles from my own. Went to the river for a few hours, not a touch and pouring down. Still an enjoyable afternoon though. Came home to a roast pork dinner and a bottle of Rioja. Getting my gear ready for a trip to Loch Carron tomorrow morning. Should be a good day out in the boat. Laphroaig an excellent choice IMO. I'm about to have a large Deanston, and perhaps a Glenfarclas 105 as a nightcap. It's a hard life....

Cheers,

Keith

Just opened a present from Christmas a White an MacKay 19yr old Glasgow blend. Reminds of a sweeter Edradour. I'll admit being a Single Malt snob, but this is truly excellent.
