Hoping to start to dry fly fishing as all ive done is pulling lures and i feel like im missing out a bit.i will be going to maran lakes(small stillwater) just wonderd if there was any must haves in my fly box?
so far ive got shipmans and daddy long legs,any help gratefully received.

you could possiblt try may flies, thats what i have just been advised to buy as the hatching is nearly upon us

Not a regular there, but have had good success with Klinkhammers and CDC in both black and olive.
Buzzers were doing well last week when I went

I've done alright there on deer hair emergers/shuttlecock type thingies, small black gnats, small black foam beetles, and don't forget sedge's for later in the season

Lean towards black dries mate, 12s down are a good bet......... most important sit them in the film.
