I’d love to hear some other members views on DVD’s or videos they’ve enjoyed.
I bought 2 DVDs this year ‘Wild Irish Brown Trout on the Mayfly’ and ‘Mayfly Fishing in Ireland’ – Both with Steve Normoyle. Really enjoyed them, great fishing action and he really managed to capture the atmosphere of Mayfly time on the Irish Loughs. Helps too that he comes across as a likeable character...a little like Paul Young I guess.
I also have the Corrib Seasons ‘Trilogy’....nice to have them purely because I love the Corrib, but got to say that the quality is very poor, and there’s not a lot of catching going on (I feel they didn’t really put the hours in filming in order to get some more worthwhile material). If you’re into fly tying, they’d be great...unfortunately not for me.
I also have some fantastic Danish DVDs on sea-trout fishing, ‘seatrout secrets’...allready discussed on another thread....amazing underwater footage, very professionally made, lots of catches! Unfortunately in Danish, would be great if they made an English version....Probably the best fishing DVDs in the world...(sorry, couldn't resist)
Here’s hoping the Corrib improves in the next few weeks...reports so far don’t instill me with confidence...it’s hard enough for me at the best of times
