Hi WBW
Crai reservoir has bank fishing and day tickets were available from the farm near the entrance road to the dam - there was a permit box throught the arched entrance to the farm yard. Haven't been there for a while so don't know the current price.

There are two Llyn Y Fans, Llyn Y Fan Fach and Llyn Y Fan Fawr but I don't think there is much to be caught in either; but that is hear say as I've never fished either.

OB

As Oldbull says, there is definitely bank fishing on Crai as he has stated. I understand (I think through my own questioning on here previously) that fishing is no longer allowed on the Llyns.

Of course, you also have Usk Reservoir a little further up the road and not too far to the East is Llwyn Onn and Beacons Reservoirs. I understand that Cantref currently is 'no fishing' as they are dropping the water level for maintenance work.

Olbull is right about where to get a permit for Crai. It is £12 for the day and you need to write your name and car reg on an envelope, stick your twelve quid in it, and post it into the permit box. It is bank fishing on Crai. Take your waders.

Good luck with Crai on Saturday - hope you get a few. There are plenty in there anyway. My advice would be to keep moving - don't stick in one spot too long and wherever you can get a cast onto the water, then it is worth doing.
