Default York

Hi. I'm looking for a trout venue close to the South of York that isn't Marston. I'm expecting rain so a stillwater would be preferable. I'm stopping at Naburn for a few nights.

Can anyone point me in the right direction

Cheers Chris

There is a small stillwater fishery at Acklam near Malton , Not fished it for years but it has its fans. I seem to remeber it always had exceptional water quality.....

you will struggle around york itself ,i personally can not think of any other than maran lakes(marston wise),if you want stillwater you will have to travel out of york, and why do you expect rain ???
