As I say im not against them and see the use of them for some and I have used them myself to my detrement as I get bored with it and prefer to have my hands moving, rather than stand in a coma.
I know they are both flies(buzzers and lures) but a lure under the indicator is a bit of an abomanation to me,especially when the story of it was too deep hooked is always used when the big fish come to the scales, never the smaller fish.
Im thinking is this really fly fishing, dont mind a buzzer under an indicator, but a lure?
I know its an indicator type thread, but wanted this off my chest,as Im considering a rule of buzzer only ,no lures under indicators.Due to damage to fish when striking, some double handed strikes, amazing, and deep hooked fish excuse, and to me unsporting.Buzzers i dont mind.
Id like feelings and views on this please.

Theres a few places down here Kev that have added the 'No Lures Under Bungs' rule to their list, some have even banned bungs altogether.....
I tend to use the Lure under bung during the slower months, but it certainly isnt my first choice method....
Which, after a few trips on smallwaters over the last few weeks, when arriving at 4,5, 6pm, and dries are the obvious choice of weapon, people do still arrive and go for the lure under the bung method right away....Is it all a confidence thing......
"I caught this way last time out, so I'll start on this", as you say, its becoming the first choice for a lot of anglers, and the 'Norm'.
When using the lure/bung method, i've certainly never experienced a deeply hooked fish, no matter how small or big the fish is, IMO, the depth of hooking is all down to the individual allowing the bung to dissapear, and waiting for it all to go tight, which is wrong IMO.
As for "is it fishing?", if it's within the fishery rules, then I suppose it is.
