Unhappy STOLEN NET at Fewston, Yorkshire

Hi all,

Unfortunately my landing net was stolen while fishing at Fewston reservoir (Washburn Valley) on Saturday 24th April 2010
I was flyfishing with NickB and a recent newbie to the art called Brian.

While moving on to a different spot I'd left it by the bank on a reed, within 20 minutes of realising and rushing back it was gone.
It wasn't another angler I might add, as we were the only ones fishing the top end that day.
I can only assume it was a member of the public who we probably kindly said hello to as we walked past them (not that we normally don't, but I certainly didn't for the rest of the day because I was in a right old mood! )

I did all the usual. Ran back to the car-park just to see if anyone was still walking round with it, told the warden Andy, drowned my sorrows....

The net was like this, Sharpes seaforth seatrout size (I think seatrout?) but the most easily identifiable thingy was that it had a C&F magnet (or half of it ) held firmly in place with a black cable tie.

In the slim chance that anyone does come across this, maybe on Yorkshire’s black market or e-bay, could you please PM me. It was a 30th birthday pressie.

Thanks for reading, Matt.

Thanks for reading, Matt.
Listen M8 if I left my Seaforth landing net unattended anywhere for 20 mins I'd expect to get it lifted.

Oh and if you had a C&F magent thingy why weren't you using it or was it just for the Kudos.

We signed in at the office (special VIP season ticket service) then drove up to the top A59 car park. They had been canoeing on Wednesday (which puts 'em seriously off as you know) but Brian and Nick's Dad went Thurs and had a good day at the top end - yesterday didn't follow suit

For some stupid reason Nick talked me into taking my 6wt, so with a fairly hefty wind straight against us at that bay where the bench is (10 min walk from car park) we were struggling.
Nick and I managed one each here, 2 half pound but bl0ody strong and fun on 6wt, me on mayfly nymph and Nick a dunkeld.

While Nick and I sought shelter further up, blo0dy Brian the newbie had 3 and lost 4 on some monstrosity marabou gold head (his first ties). We ripped the p!ss out of him while setting-up then he goes and gives us a right ol' spanking

Me and Nick looked the part thought...........All the gear and no idea is it???

Yes, thank-you for correcting my spelling. I'm obviously not 'down with the children'...
