Default Fly to tippet

Standing knee deep on a windy river-suddenly fish started to rise.
Must change my fly.
I was sure my emerger flies had an eye on them when I bought them.
But I couldn't bloody find it.
Time I waded back to the bank and got it sorted the fish had stopped rising.
Can any of our seasoned members give me advice on how to perform this
intricate task
“Please help” my future in fly fishing depends on it.

Is a fly box that lets you set out the flies you are gonna use during fishing session, with little wire loops that you pass line through, and bobs your uncle, fly is on tippet, whether pitch black, or just dam blind like me!!!
try google with c&f fly box, or look at this link.

Tackle Products | C&F Design Boxes for Anglers | C&F Large Waterproof Boxes | C&F Design - Waterproof Threader Case for Small Flies

stocked by all good blind fly fishing stores!!!

Hi
I have the same problem and use an Orvis flip down magnifier which clips to your hat brim.
Cheers

And i would say carry everything you need with you so there's no need to wade back to the bank in the middle of a rise.

I did have everything with me but just couldnt get the tippet through the eye of the fly.Once I got back to the bank and out of the wind I managed to do it.
But too late.
Thanks for all your suggestions.
Its a trip back to Spec Savers for me. Stronger glasses required.
